About me:

I came to Sri Lanka in 1999 and I fell in love with the beautiful tropical island of Sri Lanka, rightly called the Pearl of the Indian Ocean. There are so many lovely and interesting things to see and do, and the Sri Lankan people are so kind, welcoming and helpful. So I bought a little house as a holiday home. My holiday home grew over the years. Now I'm happy to welcome you to Chris's Homestay

Overview
We are a very gay friendly homestay. LGBT women and men are equally welcome. We're also on the well known international B&B homestay booking site, so we do get straight guests as well, and they've all been charming. We expect that our straight and LGBT guests will be equally charming and considerate.

The charming village-style house, typically Sri Lankan, set in a pretty garden, is in the Dalupotha area of Negombo. We're 10 minutes/ Rupees 250 tuktuk ride to Negombo Beachside, and to the busy commercial centre of Negombo Town.

Houseman/tuktuk driver Chaminda will be pleased to drive you in our tuktuk down to Negombo Beachside for your daytime 'Sun and Sand' or to Dolce Vita, our favourite beachside cafe, for Cappuccini, or a pasta/pizza lunch, under the palm trees. Or in the evenings there are the bright lights of the many busy Bars and Restaurants.

Chaminda and I will pick you up from the airport in the tuktuk, or drop you off at the airport at the end of your stay. Airport pickup/drop off Rupees 1000.

From Negombo Bus A/C Highway Buses go to Colombo in 40 minutes, and you can also catch buses to other parts of the island. Trains go South to Colombo, from where you can take trains to other destinations, or North to Jaffna and places in between.

Negombo has long attracted gay visitors. But sex between men is still unlawful in Sri Lanka. Local police and authorities are tolerant, up to a point, but they will act if there are complaints. SO ALWAYS BE DISCRETE.
Location
We are located on a quiet street in the Dalupotha area of Negombo. It's very villagey, and the local people are warm and welcoming with a ready smile. And they are quite innocent, so spare their blushes. Remember that we have to live here when you have gone home. So please BE DISCRETE AT ALL TIMES
