Yumbo-centre has over 60 gay bars, restaurants clubs & shops aimed at catering to the large amount of gay visitors and locals. It functions as a regular shopping centre during the day then transforms in to a gay centre at 22.00 every night, once the shops have closed. It is easy to get lost in the rich nightlife this island has to offer and forget about the beautiful nature surrounding it.

With just a short bus ride away from the centre you will find yourself in a completely different climate zone. The south, known as the best place for guaranteed sun whereasnearby areas arealmost desert like.  Further up north are the greener areas with several picturesque villages. Up in the mountaintops that reach heights well above 2000 meters you will find snow and forests, a pleasant escape after a few days partying in the heat.
