Crisco and Silver Stud cater for cruising needs and are strictly male clientele only with a range of dark rooms, videos and strip shows. Fabrik is a bigger gay venue just 15km outside of Florence.

At the forefront of the renaissance period, Florence is world renowned for its impressive art and architecture with work by Leonardo da Vinci, Michaelangelo and Boticelli all contributing. It remains one of the most visited cities across Europe and once there, it is easy to understand why. The sights of Piazza di Santa Croce and Piazza della Signoria are unmissable though saving your visit until early evening is advisable as during the day, as such sights can be tainted by the overload of visitors in such a tourist-centred city. Ponte Vecchio is also better at night without the distraction of the daytime jewellery stalls.

Tuscan cuisine is famous and at the heart of traditional Italian cooking. Florence restaurants are both in abundance throughout the city offering high quality food and sadly high prices if you stay within the main tourist paths – exploring less populated streets will find you a more reasonable meal.
