At night, Amsterdam comes alive with its unforgettable shop-window style Red Light district and plethora of night-life venues. The city is big on culture including works by Van Gogh and Rembrandt are on show the Rijksmusuem and Vangogh museum. In addition the Anne Franks museum is well worth a visit.
Amsterdam is not particularly famous for its food, but if hearty and filling meat plates are enough to satisfy your tastes then you can't go far wrong, though there are plenty of international restaurants across the city.
