Overview
My small, street-frontage home, built in 1890 and formally registered as a "4-poster working mans cottage" is located in a desirable and iconic, inner city suburb. The house is set in a peaceful and quiet, tree-lined street but is within easy walking distance of Ponsonby Road and the central business district. The free-standing guestroom sits in a small, landscaped garden with fish pond, but the entire house is for your use and enjoyment. Bedroom includes telephone [free local calls], TV [with DVD included], radio/stereo, broadband PC with wireless internet, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, heater, electric blanket. SKY TV is available inside the house. BUT, you have to share bathroom and toilet...which is lockable! Clothes washing machine is available
Location
Its just a 15-20 minutes walk to Queen Street, the main city thoroughfare and 10 minutes walk to the Viaduct Basin, former home of The Americas Cup and the new Wynyard Quarter. 3 minutes walk to Ponsonby Road. A supermarket [0700-2359 daily] is situated at the end of the street
The Link Bus service operates every 15 minutes from a choice of 2 stops, each 3 minutes walk away and whose itinerary takes in most of the cities tourist highlights and shopping venues Gay venues - bars and clubs are within 20 minutes walk Important information
I am the only occupant so you are expected to make full use of the house and you are welcome to come and go as you please. Continental breakfast is included but, as I work most mornings, you may be required to just help yourself! No smoking inside...please
